There is a theme of growth and rebirth in Huck throughout the story. Its
an emphasis on the river as a place where the society and the story
begin.Huck travels down the river (its provided tools such as raft)and
the adventures begin. Its seen as separate from the surrounding areas and
separate from civilization.
After each adventures Huck learns to do somethings new and become a new person.
Another theme in this story is that society is wrong. As Huck travels
down the river,he learns and does many things although it would be
contrary to the beliefs of society e.g helping the slave escape. He also
learns the idea that the black are people too, despite the teachings of
society.
